WHO WE ARE
 
 
MacRae Nicoll, Teacher, Designer, Contractor and Owner of High Desert Rain Catchment has installed over 90,000 gallons of rainwater storage across Northern Arizona.  MacRae holds a degree in Agricultural Ecology from Prescott College, and certifications in Permaculture Design, Permaculture Dry Lands Design and is an accredited ARCSA (American Rainwater Catchment Association) Rainwater Catchment Systems Designer.  He has taught rainwater harvesting and permaculture design workshops for Prescott College, ECOSA, Northern Arizona University, The US Green Build Council, and The Highlands Center.  His creative designs focus on integrated sustainable landscapes implementing rainwater harvesting, greywater, edible plants, and fire defense.
 
Sister, Margaret Nicoll lends marketing, administrative, and design support to High Desert Rain Catchment.  Prior to joining High Desert Rain, she worked for a San Francisco based Landscape Architecture Environmental Planning firm and  earned her degree from The George Washington University.  She is currently on the board of the Greater Yavapai US Green Build Council and has been appointed by the City of Prescott to sit on the Water Conservation, Safe Yield Committee whose work is leading Prescott towards water conservation.
